Magic words are commands formatted between two double underscores that return variables and can alter page behavior. Not all pages will have magic words, nor will this wiki be using [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Magic_words all magic words] available on MediaWiki. This page will explain the ones that are used.

Magic words are put on the bottom of the page below everything else unless explicitly stated otherwise. There should be no page elements below magic words. When there are a lot of magic words on one page, please format it so that they are next to each other horizontally, separated by a single space. This prevents excessive amounts of whitespace to build up at the bottom of an article.

<code><nowiki>{{</nowiki>DISPLAYTITLE:TITLE<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code> is used to overwrite the title of a page so that it displays the preferred "title". This is used to display a page title without a namespace attached to it or to display the name of a character variant that may share the same name as an existing character or concept while still being listed on the wiki differently. A primary example of this is the page for [[Caladrin]] being significantly different from the page on [[Caladrin/Character]], which is a subpage of the same concept. <code><nowiki>{{</nowiki>DISPLAYTITLE:Caladrin<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code> is used on the latter so that both display the name "Caladrin" on top without any errors.
