Bakutis "Bug" Amberthorne was a student at Ardridge University. A member of the Green Feather Guild, Bug was introduced to Klaes Cadogin on the latter's first day at Ardridge.
Bug was a distant relative of Aya Amberthorn, the Sovereign ruler of Ante, but far too distant from the line of succession to stand a chance of inheriting anything. Bug was, however, elected as the Head of the Green Feather Guild.
Bug and Klaes developed a close friendship, possibly bordering on romantic feelings for each other, and Bug was one of two people that Klaes told about their plans to leave Ardrige on an adventure.
