Bakutis "Bug" Amberthorne was a student at Ardridge University. A member of the Green Feather Guild, Bug was introduced to Klaes on the latter's first day at Ardridge.
Bug was a distant relative of Aya Amberthorne, the Sovereign ruler of Ante, but far too distant from the line of succession to stand a chance of inheriting anything. Bug was, however, elected as the Head of the Green Feather Guild.
Bug and Klaes developed a close friendship, possibly bordering on romantic feelings for each other, and Bug was one of two people that Klaes told about their plans to leave Ardrige on an adventure.
After the events at Torryen, Idari visited Bug and gave him Klaes' final letter, informing him of his friends death. This left Bug crestfallen, although he appreciated that Idari had put in the effort to deliver it.
Trivia
- Klaes named his dagger after Bug, calling it "My Amber Thorne".
