Esmer Gnash was a half-orc and friend of Idari's from Kelterstar University. They were set to compete in the Arena, and during preparations sparred with Kiorend Weffr. During their friendly match, Esmer was struck dead, with Kiorend believing they were responsible.
A subsequent investigation of Esmer's death by Vrik Knaver came to the conclusion that Kiorend was likely responsible for the murder. It was eventually revealed that Arginor Ashven had murdered Esmer, with their body taken by Arginor and used to fight the Antidote in their final confrontation.
After Esmer was freed from Arginor's possession, Idari performed a final lament for them.
