“ THIS LOOKS SO BAD GUYS „ — Mancio in Buck Wild
Mancio was a Spireloft character who was a temporary member of the Prescient Unity Board's Woodhollow Division expedition. He was badly injured during the expedition while jumping out of a tree house with Gerardanson Durand.
Visual Description
Mancio was a lanky, silver-scaled dragonborn.
History
Pre-Campaign
Mancio was a Sylthan who lived near Woodhollow. He had apparently been contemplating joining an entry-level knight force in Adyta because it was difficult for most jobs to stay stable in Sylthe due to Woodhollow's constant expansion.[1]
Campaign
Mancio joined the Prescient Unity Board's Woodhollow Division's expedition team for work experience. In A Forest's Hunger, he approached Group 7422, whom he heard had experience being soldiers, with questions regarding how it felt taking orders constantly and if the lifestyle was "fulfilling". Kiorend told him they were more of a musician and spent more time practicing than waiting for the next order, while Gerardanson said it was a "great privilege" to be a soldier. Mancio thanked the group for their insight and responses regardless.
In A Forest's Wrath, Mancio stayed with Group 7422 to check the ruined homes while other members of the Woodhollow Expedition Team (WET) scouted ahead with Avenir. He climbed up the stacks of homes with Idari and Gerardanson and watched as Gerardanson shoved a drawer out of a house, leading it to be smashed onto the ground below. He made a remark about how the contents were likely destroyed. After seeing Idari make a safe descent down, Mancio set up a rope to help Gerardanson, only to mistime his own descent and slip, falling the entire distance down. He began to cry (though denied he was) and claimed his leg was broken, leading to Tuleva needing to give him emergency assistance. When the group was eventually attacked by Woodhollow creatures, Mancio and Tuleva were both unable to participate in the fight against them as they were preoccupied with Mancio's injury. After the attack, Mancio appeared to be able to stand once more.

In A Forest's End, Mancio was one of the many Woodhollow Expedition team members that were constricted by Avenir's roots. He was restrained several times throughout the battle, but was freed by a Group 7422 member every time. After Woodhollow's heart was killed and with confirmation that Woodhollow would no longer expand, Mancio stated to Group 7422 that he no longer had any interest in becoming a guard and would look into other jobs opportunities.
In Buck Wild, Mancio traveled with the remnants of the Woodhollow Expedition Team out of Woodhollow. When The High Druid laid out the bodies of their comrades outside of Woodhollow, Mancio expressed disdain over how incriminating the scene would appear to passersby. He then went with the rest of the Prescient Unity Board members to Kelterstar as Maehren left with The Antidote.
Post-Campaign
It is not known whether or not Mancio became a guard after the campaign, but likely did not due to Woodhollow having stopped expanding.[2]
Relationships
- Tuleva — Because of his injury, he spent significant time with the field nurse during the expedition.
