The Renova Party

Ariceli was a member of "The Renova Party" and playable character in Renova: The Forgotten.

History

Ariceli inherited an unpaid debt from her deceased father Landon.

Prior to the campaign, Ariceli was confronted on the streets of Nanet by a man affiliated with her father, telling her that until her family's debt is settled, she is to consistently stay in contact with a man she is said to meet at "Auction for Forgotten-Age Artifacts & Oddities".

Relationships

Cezata: Ariceli initally confronted Cezata, assuming his affiliation with the mob. While having no relation, Cezata decides to "help" through having Ariceli sign a contract, paying off her debt. In return, Ariceli was to be tied Cezata by Law, and by extension The Renova Party, as an underling until her new debt is paid off.

While being an employee of his, Cezata treats Ariceli as a daughter, buying her anything she pleases, never treating her with the same level of harshness as he did to many other members of the party.

While seeing this as an obligation, Ariceli was nonetheless grateful for Cezata's kindness towards her. This seemingly unconditional kindness was something unexperienced by her for the past half-decade, causing Ariceli to view him as a genuine friend and surrogate father. She still recognized Cezata's immoral elements and constant bickering with Latho Astra and Anvelope but believed in his capacity for love.

Later into Act 1, Ariceli pleaded to Cezata to promise that he will never die. Due to Cezata's newfound guilt, he dissolves her contract with him.

In Act 3, as The Renova Party is sent 12 years into the future, Ariceli confronts Cezata about the importance of seeing his kids again, comparing his situation to hers, she reminded him to not up on this world, knowing that there were people counting on both of them.

At the campfire, Cezata, Knight, and Ariceli hug, as Cezata tells them both he loves them the same way he does his birth children.

In the penultimate session, after Cezata's fatal injury by Valdell, and overuse of Neorii's dragon form it becomes clear his time is limited. Ariceli denies it, even after Klete reiterates his death is vast approaching

In the finale of Renova: The Forgotten, Ariceli asks Cezata and Neorii if he truly is to die, crying as she recalls her promise to him and her fathers passing, telling him "Please, I can't do this again"

After Renova's reforging, Cezata falls to the ground, Ariceli goes to his side, sobbing as she hugs him, telling him "Thank you so much for loving me" and conveying how long she's gone without having someone like him in her life. Cezata responds by reiterating how Ariceli is like a daughter to him, her significance in his growth as a person, and asking her to promise she'll never forget that.

As Cezata passes away, she hugs him once again, telling him Goodbye, something she never had the strength to tell her father Landon.

Knight: Ariceli's best friend and sibling by bond met in the Underdark Arc. Both enjoy eating food of dubious quality and are Knights of Vows by class.
