Slasstian Mendrow was a prescient from Erumita who ran The Twine organisation and vied for the position of High Priest.

History edit

Life in Erumita edit

Lord Mendrow was a member of Lorecia's nobility who resided in eastern Erumita. His home was also the headquarters for The Twine, an organisation that collected debts and information on customers, particularly other nobles.

Mendrow sought to replace Cibil Cythalamynn as High Priest, as he believed a prescient in such a high position would give all prescients someone to look up to. He campaigned through posters and word of mouth, but also attempted to acquire Cibil's stolen bracers and hired Group 7422 to track him down.

After the successful mission to retrieve Cibil, Group 7422 decided to sneak into Mendrow's home to confront him after they believed he had taken their reward from the Covert Counters. While doing so, they discovered that Mendrow had significant files on each of the party members except Efbeyar and Orpheus.

Mendrow later appeared at the Lorecian council building to participate in the hearing on the future of the High Priest, where he unsuccessfully made a bid for the role. However, Group 7422 was likewise unsuccessful at convincing E-MARI or the government to arrest Mendrow.

Exile edit

"What was that you said? That everyone around you dies? I hope you're right."

After the hearing, Mendrow's home was burnt down in an apparent arson attack orchestrated by E-MARI. Mendrow went into hiding, redoubling his long-running support for Aigrotian independence and the ALF. He eventually came into direct contact with Kiet Kiet, and joined his cell in Aucturacten.

He attempted to locate Cibil's second bracer, which had been sold by Kendris Hanofera after Hanofera sailed to Ante. He eventually located it in the home of Addileena Andressi, and hired Jaecilin Auroboris to retrieve it, who in turn enlisted The Antidote. Mendrow reconnected with them and thanked them for their eventual cooperation.

Mendrow later departed on a mission to Winter's Nails, where he encountered Arginor Ashven. The two fought, but Mendrow was killed by Arginor and his corpse taken to form part of Arginor's force used against the Antidote at Scaenapulcra.

After the battle, Mendrow's corpse was retrieved by Howie, who intended to bury it in Aigrot as a tribute to Mendrow's contributions to its independence. Howie decided to cremate the body on their journey.
