Lorecia was a nation in the north of Spireloft's west continent. Lorecia was known for its high quality magical and scientific learning.
Description
Lorecia was founded in the aftermath of the Flare in the still-habitable northern region.
Lorecia's capital Erumita was allegedly founded with the divine guidance of Caladrin, an event which lead to Caladrin's recognition for the first time. Caladrin's worship was strongest in Lorecia, with the office of High Priest being an official member of government.
The Lorecian government was lead by a council elected by popular vote, headed by a Chairperson. The Chairperson in turn had the power to appoint officials to office, including the High Priest,[1] and to decide military matters.
Lorecia' vegetation was far more lush than Basillera, but not in the same way as the far south was. The mountainous western portion of Lorecia was the site of mining operations.
Lorecia had a low-intensity conflict with Basillera for land, but also collaborates with Basillera in military matters under the guidance of agreements mediated by Elixis.
Lorecia and Ante had a rivalry over university enrolment, with Kelterstar in Lorecia and Ardridge in Ante competing for the position of Spireloft's best institution.
