Varianne Cythalamynn was a Spireloft character whose job was to take care of the current High Priest of Lorecia. She was the sister of Cibil Cythalamynn and mother of Elise Cythalamynn.

Varianne was a blue-skinned elf who tied her hair up. Like her other family members, she also had golden-colored irises.

Pre-Campaign edit
Varianne grew up in the Temple of Caladrin alongside her brother Cibil. She was initially going to become The High Priest of Lorecia, but because of her magic being deemed too unstable, she was no longer considered for the position and was relegated to being Cibil's caretaker.[1]
She had a partner and had Elise Cythalamynn with that partner, but soon broke off contact with them to prevent her parents from pressuring encouraging them to pressure her to have more children.[2]
Campaign edit
Varianne allowed Group 7422 to enter the Temple of Caladrin after they offered to tutor her daughter. She gave them a very short amount of time to teach her something before she kicked them out.
During Slasstian Mendrow's trial, she explained how much it meant to her that the Cythalamynns stayed at the temple, even offering to become the High Priest herself if Cibil didn't want to be. They rejected her offer and after the trial, a suitable replacement High Priest of Lorecia was found, leading to the eviction of the Cythalamynn family from the temple.

Varianne lived somewhere else in Erumita with her daughter.

Varianne considered herself a very important part of the Cythalamynn family, but did not hold a very strong relationship with most, if not all her family members.
